AGLAIA Plasters

AGLAIA high performance plasters are manufactured using only natural ingredients including plant cellulose, chalk, marble dust, linseed oil and quartz. They are based on traditional formulations that have been further developed to minimise the impact on the environment, to have no adverse impact on our health, and to allow buildings to breathe more easily. Aglaia make a range of plasters which are suitable for interior use and which enable you to have smooth or pleasantly textured wall surfaces over any existing surface, including those that need renovating.

Because of their mineral content, Aglaia plasters generate a pleasant light scattering effect, The range includes general plaster, fine smoothing plaster and renovation plasters for cracked or damaged walls as well as roll or brush on plasters to add texture and visual depth to existing gypsum plaster. There's even a unique 'marvelising' plaster that produces a marble like surface with a deep, textured sheen. Also called lazuring, this glazing technique involves the overlay of transparent layers of Beeswax Glaze Binder over the various plaster surfaces. Glazing gives a wall an attractive, deep and decorative finish. 

The look and feel of the plaster can be effected by the application method. Make it smooth in the normal way. Or use a trowel for certain textures to give the wall a plastered, worked look, or brush it on to give a look of brush marks and lines. Whatever, it can be tinted to any colour using Aglaia Full Colour Wall Paints [Pigments section, under 'Paints'.], or painted with AGLAIA wall paints or glazes.

BEECK Plasters

Beeck Silicate Plasters are synonymous with quality and durability. Like their paints, Beeck plasters are silicate based so they bind with the mineral substrate over which they are applied and are therefore particularly robust and especially suitable for exterior applications, although they are perfectly good for interior use as well. They even come in different grades of coarseness, containing different sized of mineral grains and can be tinted to any colour you want.

Beeck potash waterglass based silicate plasters deriving their strength and remarkable weather resistant properties from cellulose fibres and a combination of natural minerals, including barite, marble powder and titanium dioxide.

Beeck plasters are virtually non shrinking and are reinforced with cellulose fibres for strength. They can be applied to any substrate, although gypsum will need preparing with Beeck Silicate Base Coat, and can be tinted with Beeck Colour Silicate Paints.
