AURO 117 Special Primer is recommended for use on woods rich in tannins, such as oak, chestnut and cherry. This product can also be used as a primer for the water based wood finishes.
The alternative, AURO 127 water based primer, is not recommended for use on woods rich in tannins, such as oak, chestnut and cherry – as drying times will be extended. 117 Special Primer, which contains some citrus solvent, is recommended in these circumstances.

AURO 124 is a transparent primer for the preparation of interior and exterior timber.
Use prior to further treatment with 253 Undercoat, 160 Wood Stains or 184 Woodwax. Dust dry in 6–9 hours, re-coatable after 24 hours.

AURO 127 is a water-thinnable and solvent-free primer for wood and wood products for indoor floors.
A primer for wooden floors that are to be finished with 187 Floor Wax or 267 Floor Varnish. Dry and ready for further treatment after about 24 hours. 127 is not recommended for use on woods rich in tannins, such as oak, chestnut and cherry - for these use 117 Special Primer.
